Located in Cape Coral on the West coast of Florida, SaraHomes is a primary realtor of property for new construction.  The audience for this site is expected to be a mixture of individuals and builders.

When SaraHomes originally sat down with Smallrock to discuss this site, we immediately identified that the builders were their largest group of customers.  SaraHomes had an idea that they were looking for a site to keep a spreadsheet available for the builders.  The local builders needed to get up-to-date information about the current status of properties held by SaraHomes.  It was intended that the spreadsheet would be updated in the office and uploaded two or three times each day.

We immediately proposed moving the primary location of the data to the site.  As we designed it the site is based on a relational database containing all the property information.  The database is updated live through a form interface from the SaraHomes office.  Visitors now have up-to-the-minute access to all of the properties, and they can even download the entire database as a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet.  The database may be searched against different criteria to isolate the features defining a group of desired properties.  Records are linked to survey information and aerial views:

Certainly not all the visitors to the site are builders.  We also need to consider visitors looking to relocate and/or build in the Lee County area.  In fact the whole Flash introduction for the Web site is targeted for this audience.  It is a quick advertisement designed to foster a feel for the tempo and lifestyle of the West coast.  Information is easily accessible about various locations, amenities and lifestyle.  Once these visitors have targeted an area that interests them, they too can turn to the database for properties.
